Dick Winter was well known to the international patent community for his leadership of PCT International. He formed this venture following his 1985 retirement from corporate patent practice: spent most of his professional life first at Bell Labs and thereafter AT&T; he capped his corporate career as International Patent Director.
Middle West Origins: Before moving to New Jersey to join Bell Labs, Dick was raised in Wisconsin where he gained his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He then spent several years in Chicago first to earn his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law and then to begin his law career.
