The once WIPO Deputy Director General James Pooley, near the end of his tenure, made serious charges against Director General Francis Gurry. A thorough, independent investigation was made by WIPO. It has been completed for some time, while the final report is being kept secret from the public.
Exoneration: The incumbent remains in his position in good standing, manifesting the fact that the Director General has been cleared of the major issues raised by his former subordinate.
Suppression of the WIPO Report: It is grossly unfair to both the Director General and the public that supports WIPO that the report has been kept secret. This is totally unacceptable in a free society.
