LAIPLA meets the needs of our small firms and IP Solo Practitioners

Through our Small Firm Outreach Committee, we offer low or no cost events and luncheons that appeal to business and professional concerns of our colleagues and clients. We present and hold expert discussions on a wide range of topics including effective networking, law firm management, legal technology, business and ethical considerations of law firms and attorneys, and specific issues of interest to the IP community. In addition, we offer social happy hours, both in downtown and the West Side. We provide at least three-four MCLE and networking events a year for our diverse membership.

Every attorney in your firm, including non-IP attorneys, receive membership pricing and discounts for all LAIPLA events. The savings average to about $30–$100 per attorney per event, totaling over $500 a year per attorney!

State Bar of California approved MCLE provider

The Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association is a State Bar of California approved MCLE provider (#2083). LAIPLA maintain copies of the MCLE sign-in sheets for a period not to exceed five (5) years. While LAIPLA provides Certificates of Attendance to each Attendee, it is the Attendee’s responsibility to verify his/her attendance at the Seminar by signing the LAIPLA’s MCLE sign-in sheet for each day of seminar attendance.
