Clarence M. Ditlow III (ϯ)(~1944-2016)

November 11, 2016| in Wegner's Writings| by Hal Wegner

Clarence Ditlow attended night law school in Washington, D.C., in the mid-1960’s, working in the day as a Patent Examiner in the Commerce Department main building.  He was known at the time for driving a Chevrolet Corvette (his father was a Chevy dealer).

He left the patent field to become a “Nader’s Raider” and helped to establish the reputation of and then for many years lead the Center for Auto Safety.  An obituary appears in today’s New York Times.

With sadness,
Hal
