Charles Townsend with his brother founded the San Francisco based firm of Townsend & Townsend. It became one of the country’s great patent boutiques of the second half of the twentieth century. Their practice lives on today as part of a 2011 merger to form the Atlanta based national law firm of Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP.
