Due to the unprecedented snow storms in February, the speakers from the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office were not able to travel to the l Washington in the West program, which has been rescheduled to April 8, 2010. In doing so, our paramount goal was to preserve the quality of the event for our members. We encourage you to attend to take advantage of networking and informational opportunities that will help your practice.
In partnership with the California State Bar, we are also continuing to let people know about our upcoming statewide annual Spring Seminar May 14-16, 2010 at Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa in Las Vegas, offering a platform with educational and networking opportunities to help you build and maintain your IP practice. The LAIPLA is a vital IP community and involvement equals success!
For those who have not attended this event before, the Spring Seminar is a very good networking and learning opportunity, with lawyers attending from across the nation and from Europe on a regular basis. It is by far the best yearly intellectual property event for California lawyers. Furthermore, each Spring Seminar allows for a mixture of professional time and personal time, meaning that families accompany many members and that quality family time is easily available.
Hotel reservations are available already and going fast. This will sell out. Call Red Rock reservations at 866-767-7773 and mention “LAIPLA Spring Seminar” to get the discounted room rate of only $175.00, inclusive of the $25 resort fee. Alternately, you can make reservations on the internet if you can find a better price – but be aware that most internet quotes do not include the $25 resort fee, which is added later. The deadline for guaranteed pricing for telephone reservations is April 13, 2010, but the room block may be fully taken by then, so act now. Take good care, and we will see you at the rescheduled Washington in the West event!
