Vincent SanchezVincent Sanchez

Vinny is the Global Co-chair of DLA Piper’s Technology Transactions and Strategic Sourcing practice.  He advises clients in complex technology, strategic sourcing/outsourcing and commercial transactions, including technology acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures; strategic alliances and collaborations; and the commercialization of technology and data assets.  His digital transformation experience involves advising clients in navigating the legal and operational risks associated with the evolution of business models that leverage both technology and data as strategic assets to be optimized and potentially monetized.  He guides clients through the risks associated with establishing new digitally focused business models and platforms, the adoption of new digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, edge computing, cloud enablement and blockchain, and managing technology and data as core strategic assets.


Scott GoldsmithScott Goldsmith

Scott is General Counsel at HiveWatch, a cloud-based SaaS platform built to enhance security technologies.  Previously, he was a district attorney and a partner at FisherBroyles and Dorsey & Whitney.


Xiyin Tang

Xiyin Tang

Xiyin is a Professor of Law at UCLA School of Law.  Her research focuses on the roles that technological evolution and new modes of dissemination play in the law of intellectual property, including how IP laws should respond to artificial intelligence and its effect on creative labor markets.  Before joining UCLA, Xiyin graduated from Yale Law School and worked in private practice at Mayer Brown LLP and Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP, including serving as lead counsel for Facebook.


Stanley BishopStanley Bishop

Stanley is Chief Architect at NewAtlantis Labs.  A machine learning scientist, he previously worked at Google and is presently affiliated with ‘Research to the People,’ a joint program between Stanford Genetics and Stanford Medicine which tackles unaddressed problems in rare genetic illness medicine and precision oncology.
