Marjorie W. Norman is a member of the Trademark, Copyright & Licensing Group in the Los Angeles of Venable LLP. Marjorie helps clients obtain and protect their intellectual property through domestic and international trademark preparation and prosecution, portfolio strategy, licensing, clearance, and opposition and cancellation proceedings. She also counsels clients on corporate transactions, including intellectual property due diligence and assignments related to asset transfers. Her work focuses on the fashion, beauty, and entertainment industries, and on manufacturers, distributors, and retailers who produce, market and sell consumer products.
Marjorie received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003, and her J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2006.
Marjorie has served as LAIPLA’s Board Liaison for the Sponsorship Committee, which she co-chaired from 2014-2016 and the Ambassador Committee.
Favorite LAIPLA event: Spring Seminar, because it is always held at a great venue, and provides the opportunity to network with the profession while receiving top rate continuing education.
